September 1st: Part 5 (9
Synopsis
It's first explained that Franklin, an Emitter, changed his fingertips into guns that allow him to shoot chunks of aura (Nen bullets). It's added that although it was unnecessary for him to cut off his fingertips, it made the bullets more effective because restrictions can markedly improve Nen abilities.
Uvogin using Big Bang Impact
As Uvogin smirks after his successful punch and the three other Shadow Beasts look on with hesitation, the injured Worm suddenly grabs Uvogin's wrist and burrows beneath the ground. Holding Uvogin's left arm beneath the surface, he asks Uvogin if he wants to be killed either underground by him or above ground by the other Shadow Beasts, who begin to leap toward him. Uvogin becomes enraged and clenches his fist, telling Worm that he's the one who can't escape. The other Phantom Troupe members notice that Uvogin isn't messing around as he suddenly unleashes a Big Bang Impact directly below himself, only leaving behind Worm's lower right arm and forcing the other Shadow Beasts to jump back.
The three Shadow Beasts all notice the #11 spider tattoo on Uvogin's lower back, and as the Nostrade bodyguards can't believe the destruction from Uvogin's attack, Kurapika looks through the binoculars and sees the tattoo, immediately knowing its significance. Franklin pities the dead Shadow Beast, Nobunaga praises Uvogin's attack, and Machi says that it's just a regular punch infused with Nen.
Porcupine stopping Uvogin's punch with his needles
Uvogin asks which of the Shadow Beasts wants to die next, and even though they recognize that he's a member of the Troupe, they charge toward him confidently. Uvogin praises their recklessness and punches at Porcupine's face, but thousands of needles suddenly appear, keeping Uvogin's fist from reaching him. Porcupine explains that he can manipulate the hair on his body and turn it into sharp needles.
As Porcupine praises Uvogin's punch and tells him that it won't be able to make contact, Rabid Dog suddenly takes a small bite out of Uvogin's left shoulder. Feitan is surprised that hair and teeth were able to puncture Uvogin's skin, and Shalnark praises their discipline and Nen. The latter yells out to ask if he needs any help, but Uvogin yells back for him to stay out of it. He tries to shake off Porcupine, but the thousands of hairs keep him firmly attached. Even more enraged and declaring that he will just use him as an extension of his fist, Uvogin attempts to punch Leech, but Porcupine simply extends and softens more hairs to act as a barrier. Rabid Dog moves and takes another bite out of Uvogin's left thigh, dodging a punch from the cornered Spider.
Uvogin suddenly feels uneasy and stumbles to the ground, with Rabid Dog revealing that he is experiencing the effects of his fangs' neurotoxin. He adds that it won't affect him from the neck up, still forcing him to feel fear and pain. Machi comments that they would have won if the toxin had been lethal, but Shalnark adds that they probably enjoy torture. Leech suddenly appears behind Uvogin and begins to suck on his shoulder wound. He explains that he is inserting thousands of leeches that will lay eggs in his bladder and burst through once he urinates, adding that most people die from the pain.
Uvogin killing Leech
Before Leech can finish his explanation, Uvogin quickly turns to the side and takes a large bite out of his head. As he chews on Leech's brain, he criticizes the taste and spits it out, reminding him that he's not the only one who can bite. He puts on a maniacal smile and says that as long as he can move from his neck up, he can still kill them all. He begins to enlarge his cheeks and suddenly expels a small object toward Rabid Dog, who recognizes that it's a piece of Leech's skull and holds out his hand to block the projectile, but the fragment pierces his hand and then bursts through his head.
Uvogin then turns toward Porcupine, who assures himself that his hair will be able to deflect any bullets that Uvogin sends at him. But instead of shooting a projectile, Uvogin simply yells as loud as he can directly at Porcupine, forcing the other Troupe members and some of the Nostrade bodyguards to cover their ears. Blood suddenly bursts from Porcupine's eyes and ears, and Uvogin tosses his body aside, saying that needles can't deflect sound. The other Troupe members yell at him for not warning them first, and Uvogin says that he didn't want to give away his plan. He reminds them all that they're fast enough to cover their ears anyway, then asking Shizuku if she can use Blinky to suck out the poison and leeches. Shizuku replies that it can get the poison, but reminds him that it can't be used to suck up living things.
Shalnark jumps down and analyzes the spotted leech, saying that it reaches the bladders of its victims in 24 hours, lays its eggs, and then dies. He confirms Leech's explanation that the pain from urination will be enough to kill him, but points out that the eggs need an alkaline environment to hatch. He explains that the eggs will pass unhatched and painlessly with the urine if the pH is too low, telling Uvogin to drink beer and urinate as much as possible in the next 24 hours (and that once his urine goes from dark to clear, he will be fine).
Hisoka getting Chrollo's permission before leaving the hideout
To the dismay of the other bodyguards, Kurapika begins walking toward the Troupe members and says that he plans to capture Uvogin. Squala reminds him of the man's ferocity, and Kurapika calmly replies that it makes no difference. A gravely wounded Worm appears out of the ground elsewhere and calls someone by phone, mentioning the Spiders and telling them to bring everyone to deal with the group. At the Troupe's hideout, Hisoka tells Chrollo that he promised he would meet someone later, and Chrollo says that he can leave as long as he's back by 6 p.m. the next day. He continues reading his book and asks Hisoka if he's up to no good again, which Hisoka coyly confirms. At a lodging in Yorknew City, Leorio shows off his Nen, but when Gon tells him that what he's doing is specifically called Ten, a confused Leorio asks if there's more than just that, which doesn't surprise Killua.
