September 4th: Part 2 (9
Synopsis
At the Preview Market, the announcer says that the final bid for the wooden vault is 355 million. While Zepile is disappointed that it didn't make more and confident that it could have reached
400 million with a better time slot, Leorio remains ecstatic from the amount of money and jokingly says that they would each have
170 million if they just took it all. Zepile assures himself that he will have more chances if he continues to team up with the two boys, telling Leorio that the experience will be priceless. As Leorio smiles and agrees with him, his phone suddenly rings with a call from Kurapika.
It's stated that Kortopi is a Conjurer whose ability allows him to create an exact copy of an object with his right hand by touching the original with his left. It's added that he can only replicate living things as inanimate objects and that regardless of the object's size, any copies will vanish after 24 hours.
The main four finally reuniting
After the four meet at an extravagant hotel, Gon happily says that it's been a while since they have all been together, wondering where Zepile is. Leorio tells him that he's picking up the money and looking for more items to sell. He then turns to Kurapika and says that his presence seems stronger, with Kurapika telling him that he hasn't changed much. Quickly shrugging off the remark, Leorio brings up the fact that Kurapika killed a Phantom Troupe member, asking him how he did it so soon after learning Nen. Kurapika says that he refuses to help him if he wants to catch one as well, and while Gon replies that they do want to capture some of the Spiders, he adds that they also want to learn more about Nen.
However, Kurapika reveals that his ability can only be used against the Troupe before the four continue their conversation in one of the hotel's rooms. He explains the concept of a contract with limitations and that Nen becomes more powerful and the risk greater if the user is more determined. He then reveals that he vowed to use most of his ability only when fighting the Spiders and that if he uses his chains on anyone else, the Nen dagger in his heart will kill him. As the others continue to listen in shock, Kurapika says that because his ability was born from hatred, it will only work against the Spiders. He says that he is only revealing this much because he trusts them, telling them to keep it all a secret.
Killua worrying that Pakunoda will discover Kurapika's secret
Killua suddenly stands up and angrily asks why he would reveal something so important. Kurapika wonders why as well and guesses that it was because he felt disheartened after learning that the Troupe's leader is dead. Killua points out that not all the members are dead and that one of them has the ability to read memories by touching her target. As Killua worries that they will find out Kurapika's secret, Gon assures him that the memory reader didn't find out when she read them. However, Killua reminds him that both of them didn't know that the chain user was Kurapika at the time.
Leorio thinks that they should be fine as long as they stay away from her, guessing that they won't be checked again since they're no longer suspects. However, Killua stresses that Nobunaga is the real problem since he won't stop looking for both them and Kurapika. Although Leorio points out that Nobunaga doesn't know how they're connected, Kurapika reveals that he has been in contact with Hisoka and that he knows he's the chain user. He explains that while they had an alliance, he can't be sure what Hisoka will do now that the Troupe's leader is dead.
Chrollo giving Nobunaga one more order
Killua proposes hunting the others down since it's too dangerous to stay on the defensive. Although he worries about Nobunaga tracking them down, he says that they now have Kurapika's help. He insists that they should stop the remaining Troupe members before they disappear and regroup, adding that it becomes more likely the longer they wait. Killua hides his face from Kurapika and gives a wry smile toward Gon, telling himself that it's the only way to capture the Spiders and obtain the money they need. Back at the Troupe's hideout, in response to Nobunaga's question, Chrollo suddenly conjures his book and tells him to answer his questions.
