Vict (ビクト, Bikuto) is a high-ranking soldier in both the Royal Army of the Kakin Empire and 1st Prince Benjamin Hui Guo Rou's personal army, and one of the fifteen employees that 1st Prince Benjamin Hui Guo Rou is allowed to bring aboard.[1] Under Benjamin's orders, he joined the guards of 12th Prince Momoze Hui Guo Rou[2] and later 9th Prince Halkenburg Hui Guo Rou, where he was attacked by Halkenburg.[3] The soul of Halkenburg's man currently resides in Vict's body together with Vict's own soul, and control of Vict's body alternates between the two, with priority going to Vict.[4]
Appearance
Vict has thick eyebrows, a thick mustache, and extra-long sideburns, nearly forming a muttonchops-style mustache. He dons the standard uniform worn by the men of Benjamin's guard, comprising of a light-colored puffer jacket, light-colored tactical pants, and dark combat boots.[1] He wears an earpiece in his left ear.[2]
Background
Vict's authorization to act as a royal guard indicates that he is an official soldier of the Royal Army.[5] He is also a member of Benjamin's personal army, and is a graduate of the Kakin Royal Military Academy.[6]
Plot
Succession Contest arc
Vict, among the other thirteen soldiers working under Prince Benjamin, is present during Balsamilco's explanation before the journey's start.[1]
Benjamin orders his soldiers to act as Royal Guards
Later, Prince Benjamin orders his private soldiers, to both act as bodyguards and spies to all the other princes, and to report any information regarding the Princes' Guardian Spirit Beasts and the Hunters' abilities.[5] As Prince Momoze rests in her bedroom, Vict, Nipaper, Bladge, and Laroc stand guard outside her room, while Tuffdy patiently waits to assassinate the Prince.[2] After Prince Momoze's murder, Vict, along with the other bodyguards are taken into custody by the Kakin Army to be interrogated about the murder.[7]
Vict is subsequently freed[note 1] and eventually assigned to Room 1009. In response to an attack by 9th Prince Halkenburg, Vict uses his Nen ability, believed by Benjamin to be able to be used both offensively and defensively, to no effect. He manages to warn Benjamin about the latter's bow before being defeated. When Steiner, along with his associate Peuckert and the Kakin Justice Bureau, arrives at Prince Halkenburg's room, Vict is nowhere to be seen.[3]
Vict confronts Balasmilco in the hallway of the Justice Bureau Prosecution and Courthouse Area building
On the morning of the eleventh day, Vict appears in the Justice Bureau Prosecution and Courthouse Area building behind Balsamilco he walks through a narrow hallway. Balsamilco is shocked to see him, and Vict begins using military sign language to communicate to him that he had discovered the secret to Halkenburg's ability. Vict distracts Balsamilco long enough for Halkenburg to use Grimmal the Dissonance and shoot an arrow at Balsamilco, forcing Balsamilco to be possessed by Halkenburg himself.[9]
Later, after "Balsamilco" (Halkenburg's soul, inside Balsamilco's body) reports to Benjamin that Halkenburg had vomited and was taken to the hospital on Tier 3, "Halkenburg" mentally reviews his ability, thinking about how their experiment with Shikaku and Sumidori had helped them some theories, and how their previous experimentation with Vict let Halkenburg prepare for the case where he himself was transferred, and the case where the possessor's body dies.[4]
Abilities & Powers
Vict has received military training.[5]
Nen
Vict is a Nen user skilled enough to have developed a Nen ability.[3] However, his superior, Balsamilco, believes him to be less knowledgeable than Hunters in that regard.[10]
