Summary

After Hisoka's win against Kastro, a woman appears and reattaches both of his arms for a price. Hisoka then uses his Texture Surprise and Bungee Gum to complete the process before it's stated how he used both abilities to defeat Kastro. It's eventually revealed that the woman and Hisoka both belong to the Phantom Troupe, whose members will meet in Yorknew City by noon on August 30th. However, while taking a shower, Hisoka removes the fake #4 spider tattoo from his back, revealing that he's only masquerading as a member so that he can hunt them.

Two months have passed since Gon broke his arm in his first Nen fight. Under Wing's tutelage, Gon and Killua have been learning the basic techniques of Nen at a rapid pace. Seeing them as beginners, and thus easy wins, Gido, Riehlvelt, and Sadaso attempt to pressure the boys into more fights. Confident that they will win, they abduct Zushi to force Gon and Killua into registering for matches, but each experiences an upset when confronted with Gon and Killua's natural abilities.

Seeing Gon's victory, Hisoka upholds his end of the deal and agrees to a match with Gon. After Gon and Killua learn about Hatsu and their Nen types, Wing reveals that they have each passed the secret Hunter Exam, telling Killua that he will easily pass the exam if he retakes it. The day of the match between Gon and Hisoka arrives, with the two facing each other on the 200th floor. Initially, Gon is not even able to force Hisoka to move a single step. Changing his tactics, Gon is able to land a solid punch on Hisoka's face with a series of feints. Hisoka simply smiles and meets Gon in the center of the ring, where he accepts the return of his #44 badge from the Hunter Exam, much to the confusion of all the spectators. The rest of the match goes by quickly, with Hisoka utterly dominating the fight. Satisfied with Gon's progress, Hisoka declares that the next time they fight will be in the real world, with their lives on the line.

Having accomplished what they set out to do after the exam, Gon and Killua decide a break is in order. The two say goodbye to Heavens Arena and head for Gon's home on Whale Island.
